Job overview

This exciting new role offers the opportunity to manage Holiday Club on a day-to-day basis throughout the holidays. The Holiday Club Manager will be responsible for directing staff and managing the day to day activities and resourcing of Holiday Club activities, following an agreed timetable devised in collaboration with our Assistant Head Co-curricular. The successful candidate will be fully committed to ensuring Heywood’s high standards of term-time care are continued in the holiday periods, and will have a passion for fun and adventure.


Person Specification

Qualifications

· Level 3 childcare qualification or higher

· First aid qualification (desirable, training can be given)

· Safeguarding training (desirable, training can be given)


Skills & Aptitudes

· Ability to create a happy, challenging and fun environment

· Willingness to work with a wide age-range of children

· Be able to develop and maintain good professional relationships and contribute positively to the team

· Ability to set high standards and to be a positive role model for both staff and pupils

· Excellent communication skills, in verbal and written form

· Excellent planning and organisational skills

Located in the heart of Corsham, Wiltshire, the school is housed in a beautiful Grade II listed Georgian building constructed in 1776. Heywood Prep educates boys and girls from age 2 to 11. At the end of Year 6, the majority of children leave for independent senior schools in Bath and Wiltshire, many winning awards and scholarships. At present, we have approximately 260 children on roll.
