Job overview

We are looking to appoint a committed and experienced administrator with excellent organisational skills who is able to work as part of a team, be adaptable and work on their own initiative as necessary, providing effective administrative support. This is a part-time (20 hours per week; flexible) post.

Previous experience or knowledge of early years care in education is desirable rather than essential; however, you will be confident in being the central communication point for the Nursery, its staff, parents/carers and our children. Excellent ICT, communication and interpersonal skills, as well as attention to detail and accuracy, are essential, along with an understanding of the need to be confidential.

We are based in the grounds of Homewood School in Tenterden, Kent and are part of the Tenterden Schools Trust.

We know it’s a competitive market and are proud of what we can offer. If you feel this is a challenge and an environment you want to be part of, we want to know what it is that makes you the one we should invest in. Detail your successes in your covering letter and get us excited about you.

We are not accepting applications from employment agencies for this position but would be delighted to receive a direct application.

Closing date: 3rd July 2022; however, early applications are encouraged as we review applications as we receive them.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all members of the community. Homewood School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all employees to share this commitment. You are advised that this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and, therefore, this post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
