Tes is supporting them in the appointment of a Horticultural Support Worker on a part time basis, 18.75 hours a week to include a Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

They are a social purpose organisation challenging inequality and breaking down barriers to enable social mobility.

At this Young Offenders Institution they support young people through the provision of education services, like at any school or college.

They employ teachers, prepare lessons and support the young people to take exams including GCSEs, vocational and educational qualifications.

As the Horticulture Support Worker you will deliver learning to Young People undertaking the Horticulture study programme at HMYOI Feltham.

You will develop young people-centred teaching, learning and assessment strategies, which contribute to increased retention, achievement, and progression of the young people they support. 

You will have:

  • Occupationally competent in the Horticulture industry
  • Demonstrable experience of providing excellent customer service skills 

Preferable:

  • Possession of a relevant teaching or training qualification (e.g. QTS, QTLS, DTTLS, PGCE)
