Job overview

 We have an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Lecturer of Graphic Design, to join us in the School of Visual and Performing Arts at Solihull College & University Centre, from September 2017. 

Possessing a Degree in an Art and Design related subject, the successful candidate will teach on, and contribute to, the development of BTEC Level 3 Graphic design. As the role will include planning, teaching, and assessing a teaching qualification teamed with excellent interpersonal skills is essential. Previous teaching experience is desirable as is experience of working as a pastoral or personal tutor. 

The successful candidate will provide academic and pastoral support to students and respond to challenges in a creative way and so ensuring that students are encouraged and developed to reach their full potential. An understanding of the needs and challenges of teaching a range of students is essential with a strong commitment to Equal Opportunities. 

The successful applicant will be joining an ambitious creative team, dedicated to delivering the highest standards of teaching and learning and the advancement of student attainment. He/she will be flexible, self-motivated and proactive in developing and maintaining quality standards on programmes and demonstrate a commitment to the School and College's improvement plans.
