This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual with proven experience of pastoral care within a boarding environment, to take on a significant leadership and management role.

Established in 1953, St Clare’s is the longest-established provider of the IB Diploma in England with students aged 15-18 from 45 countries around the world living and learning in our 28 beautiful north Oxford buildings. As well as IB Diploma, we also offer year-round university level adult courses at our separate International College and our Summer Schools for children, teenagers and adults are some of the most highly regarded in the UK.

We are looking for someone to provide the environment in which boarders flourish, feel secure and fully engage with the College ethos. 

To manage the organisation and resources of a group of Houses and work closely with other Warden Tutors in that area of responsibility who maintain direct accountability for students in their own houses; to provide for the safety, good discipline and physical, academic, moral and pastoral wellbeing of all students in the Houses. 

Previous experience of working in a boarding or independent school environment is essential.

The successful applicant is expected to operate effectively as a communicator, an administrator and as a team manager.

They will demonstrate commitment to the ethos of St Clare’s, especially its commitment to internationalism and inclusivity, and will need to have lots of enthusiasm and stamina and have a great sense of humour!
