We are looking for a talented, experienced and enthusiastic applicant to join our team of four Sixth Form Housemistresses and Housemasters, who work closely and collaboratively in this thriving all-boarding community.
The position is in Oaks which has 40 Sixth Form girls and is available from January 2018. All Housemasters and Housemistresses are members of the academic staff, teaching a reduced timetable and leading a team of House staff, as well as taking overall academic and pastoral responsibility for the pupils in their House. This is an important, demanding and rewarding role.
Benenden offers its own salary scale, responsibility allowances and benefits. Three-bedroomed family accommodation is provided.
Benenden School is an independent boarding school for girls, founded in 1923 and situated in 240 acres of beautiful parkland in rural Kent. At present, there are 540 girls in the School. A considerable amount of new building has been undertaken in recent years, including a Sports Pavilion, all-weather pitch and staff housing.
Meals are provided to staff whilst on duty. The School’s leisure facilities, including a fitness gym and swimming pool are available for staff to use.
