HOUSEMISTRESS (MATERNITY COVER)

Fixed term, Full time

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring Housemistress to cover our Junior House which houses 50 girls aged 11 -16 years. 

The successful candidate will be energetic, flexible, possess a good sense of humour and have a passion for developing and inspiring young people. The role requires the ability to be fair, calm and to create positive relationships with young people and their parents and guardians. In addition, strong organisational and communication skills, attention to detail and team working are essential aspects of this role. 

The ideal candidate will have experience of working within boarding. You will be expected to lead and manage a team of staff to ensure our boarders continue to receive an excellent level of pastoral care and academic support over this period. This is an opportunity to work in a boarding house that offers a secure home that encourages young people to reach their potential academically, emotionally and socially.  

This could be a teaching or non-teaching position and all staff are expected to fully contribute to the wider life of the school.
