Job overview

We are seeking a suitably skilled and experienced Human Resources Administrator to work within the Shared Services HR Department. We would welcome applications from other sectors as well as candidates who have broad school administrator experience. The role is advertised as a full-time position of 37 hours over 52 weeks per year, but the Trust supports CIPD’s #FlexFrom1st campaign and is ‘happy to talk flexible working’.

The successful candidate will provide professional administrative support in all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including but not limited to recruitment, induction, probation and performance management administration. They will frequently act as a first point of contact for a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, responding to queries and escalating as necessary within the team, to facilitate the smooth and efficient running of the department.

The post-holder will be an enthusiastic and resourceful team-player with the ability to prioritise tasks, work to prescribed deadlines, and produce documentation that requires accuracy and attention to detail. Please refer to the attached job description and person specification for a more comprehensive overview.

TLA promotes and prioritises staff wellbeing through its commitment to the Education Staff Wellbeing Charter. A new staff benefits programme has launched this academic year, providing staff discounts in response to the rising cost of living, and offers a confidential employee assistance programme to support staff mental health and wellbeing both personally and professionally.

This is an exciting time in the school’s and Trust’s development as we explore a potential merger with another local trust, The Learning for Life Partnership, which we believe will strengthen both trusts to better support the education of all children and young people in the merged entity. Our ambition is to transform the lives of all children, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

For more information about the role, or to arrange a visit to one of our Trust offices, please contact Leanne Takaki, Director of People: ltakaki@thelearningalliance.co.uk

Closing date: Wednesday 8 February

Interviews: to be confirmed
