Job overview
St Paul’s Girls’ School is an extraordinary institution. Whilst we regularly achieve some of the best GCSE and A-level results in the country, we recognise that education is about far more than exams. With fewer rules and no uniform, we actively nurture girls’ creativity, curiosity and love of discovery, with an extracurricular programme that builds confidence and enhances communities.
This sense of freedom extends to the people who work for us, so you can expect considerable scope to demonstrate your potential and enhance your skills. To support this, we are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic and solutions-focused HR Advisor to join our school’s growing HR team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys a varied generalist role and is motivated by the pace and diversity that come with working in a school environment.
Working closely with our HR Manager and wider HR team, you will play a key role in delivering a high quality, responsive HR service. Managing a broad caseload across absence and performance management, grievances, disciplinaries and general employee relations matters, you will play an important part in supporting managers. This includes coaching and guiding them through policies and processes to ensure decisions are fair, consistent and in line with relevant legislation and the School’s ethos.
In return, you can expect a comprehensive package of rewards, including a pension scheme, private medical insurance after five years’ service, life assurance, season ticket loan, free access to our extensive leisure facilities, free lunches, free eye tests, an advice and counselling service and a generous reduction on fees for your family.

About St Paul's Girls' School
St Paul's Girls' School is one of the UK's leading independent secondary schools for girls aged 11-18. We offer a classical yet forward-thinking education, providing talented young women with a dynamic and stimulating environment in which to learn and develop as individuals.
Education here is not just about passing exams, but rather about a sheer joy of learning. Individual research, discussion and debate are at the heart of our teaching. All students are encouraged to dig deeper, to explore ideas and to develop their own particular interests. Our broad and progressive curriculum places emphasis on creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship and is rich in opportunities to learn about new technologies and engage in cross-curricular projects. The aim is to give students the skills and confidence to lead the way in a modernising and fast-moving world.
This love of academic discovery is enriched by extensive co-curricular provision, the kindest and most individual of pastoral care and a commitment to partnerships and service to others.
