ACS International Schools is seeking a highly organised, proactive HR Advisor to join our collaborative HR team, working at our Hillingdon school location.

Providing first level generalist HR advice to managers, this is a varied role providing up to date and informed HR guidance and support on HR policies, processes, and systems. Working closely with the HR Business Partnering team you will manage onboarding, probation, performance management and employee relations case work when required.

The role holder will also support and oversee the management of compliance for ACS Hillingdon, in accordance with UK legislation and the ISI (Independent Schools Inspectorate) standards. This will include managing compliance checks for all new starters and maintaining the Single Central Record (SCR). This role will also oversee payroll accuracy, manage the visa process for staff, and support the central HR Operations team whilst working closely with the business at Hillingdon as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.At least part qualified CIPD Level 5 or equivalent by experience.

 

 Essential requirements:

  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with a strong commitment to safeguardingProven experience in HR administration.
  • Demonstrable experience of providing generalist HR advice on terms and conditions, application of HR policies and first line employee relations (performance management, grievance, disciplinary and sickness management).
  • Knowledge of UK employment law, safeguarding regulations, and immigration processes.
  • Experience with payroll systems and processes.
  • Proficient in HR software and MS Office Suite
  • Good IT skills and knowledge including Microsoft Word and Excel and experience of producing reports and data analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse staff and stakeholders.
  • Confidence and ability to develop and maintain professional relationships at all levels.
  • Discretion and diplomacy – an ability to exercise discretion and adhere to confidentiality requirements.
  • A collaborative approach, effectively working with others to achieve team success.
  • Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail – able to proof-read and spot check data and anomalies.
  • Ability to be proactive, use initiative, and take ownership for all aspects of the role.
  • Adopting high standards of ethical conduct at all times, with a clear understanding of the impact on others.
  • A strong team player with the ability to work independently with excellent time management and planning skills with the ability to balance conflicting demands.
  • Passion for HR and employee experience.
  • Eagerness to learn continuously and keep up to date.


This is a permanent, full-time position 35 hours per week based at the Hillingdon campus. Occasional travel to other UK campuses may be required during peak times.
