The HR Department at Abingdon School is seeking to appoint a full-time HR Advisor. We are a small but very busy team and so a flexible approach is essential. Although the HR Advisor will be required on occasion to deputise for the Head of HR, there will also be times when the role will involve high volume processing of routine administration.
The successful candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic. They will be confident in their knowledge and experience, assertive, prepared to ask questions, make suggestions and be open to learning.
Because personal attributes and team fit are so important the school is prepared to consider experienced applicants alongside individuals at an earlier stage of their career for which it is appreciated that more investment in personal development and training may be necessary.
The following are considered to be essential:
• Excellent communication skills
• Numerate; able to undertake complex financial calculations
• A generalist HR background including experience of recruitment and selection
• A sound knowledge of employment law
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
