Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role ensuring the provision of an efficient and supportive HR and recruitment service at a forward thinking and growing school.

In conjunction with the Trust’s Central HR Team, the HR and Compliance Manager will be responsible for managing and delivering Brighton Girls school HR function, covering recruitment, employee relations, performance management, retention and talent management.

This will include advising colleagues on day-to-day employment matters, such as performance management, disciplinary procedures and employee issues, as well as delivering recruitment services for staff, managing the school’s payroll and administering the Single Central Register to ensure the school is compliant and maintaining its excellent reputation for safeguarding.

The ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified or have equivalent experience, with experience of HR administration processes, policies and procedures and a good understanding of basic employment legislation. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, including the ability to relate well to people on all levels with sensitivity, tact and diplomacy, are equally important.

The hours are full time, full year but we are able to offer some flexibility for the right candidate.
