Job overview

Newhouse Academy is looking to appoint a HR and School Administrator who enjoys working with people and providing excellent customer service.  This opportunity comes at an exciting time in the development of the Academy, as we have received government funding for a new school building with state-of-the-art facilities that will benefit our students, staff and community.

Working closely with the Administration Manager/Head’s PA, we are looking for a highly organised, enthusiastic, flexible team member, who has high expectations and can manage their own workload.  The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, be approachable and work effectively with staff, students, governors and parents.  Training will be provided for the HR elements of the role, (previous experience in this areas is desirable but not essential), though it is essential you have strong administrative skills to be successful in this role.

If this sounds like a role that fits your skill set and career goals, we would love to hear from you!

With academy values of Aspiration, Integrity and Respect, we are embedding an ‘Our People’ culture through everything we do and our high expectations of both students and staff are bearing fruit. We are delighted to have been the best attended secondary school in the borough in 2021/22, (something we plan to emulate during this coming academic year). GCSE examination results for 2022 showed improvement across the board and the number of students achieving a 5+ in English and maths increased by 12%.

This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark at an academy that started its improvement journey in 2020. We believe in providing a world class education for students and are committed to the continuous professional development of staff.

If you have a strong character, energy, credibility and the ability to inspire; if you can motivate and challenge others; we’d love you to join us in taking this journey. In return, we offer:

  • Membership of the GMPF Pension scheme
  • Funded CPD for nationally recognised qualifications
  • A package of health benefits
  • Free use of gym facilities
  • Staff activities, including a Wellbeing Café, running/cycling/walking group, ‘Cake Friday’
  • Ample car parking

As part of the Hollingworth Learning Trust, we work closely with our partner school, Hollingworth Academy, (an outstanding local secondary school). We have a fabulous, friendly and welcoming team of staff, some excellent learning facilities and improving GCSE results across many subjects.

The successful candidate will become a key member of the Hollingworth Learning Trust, playing a vital role in maintaining the high standards of the Trust and joining a school community where student achievement will continue to improve under strong leadership.
