Who we’re looking for

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and driven HR Business Partner to join our Central People and Wellbeing Team.

This is a true partnering role. Working collaboratively with school senior leadership teams and Star Central, you will provide expert advice, guidance and support on a wide range of HR issues, including casework management, workforce planning and resourcing strategies. 

You will be supported in a highly motivated team environment that is focused on development, wellbeing and evolving our business partnering offer.

As HR Business Partner, you will also contribute to the design and implementation of trust wide people strategies and initiatives, driving a culture of continuous improvement, inclusivity, and wellbeing.

Based in the West Midlands, you will work with a portfolio of academies across Birmingham and Coventry and a small number of schools in the London area.

We are currently operating hybrid office and homeworking arrangements. Office working will be based in one of the many Star schools located in the West Midlands. You will be expected to travel to your designated schools as required.

You will have:

• A CIPD qualification or have a degree level qualification.
• Experience of providing complex employee relations/generalist HR advice and guidance to Senior Leaders.
• Experience of managing a significant caseload of HR cases from start to finish achieving successful outcomes.
• In-depth expert knowledge of current HR legislation.
• Good planning and project management skills.
