Ryde School seeks to appoint an HR Director to take responsibility for leading and delivering an efficient, effective and people-focused HR service. This is a new opportunity, reporting to the Headmaster and sitting on the School’s senior leadership group, a role that will allow you to drive, design and implement the school’s HR strategy and collaborate with senior leaders to inform and shape both the policy and direction of the school.

Skills & Experience:

  • CIPD qualified Level 7, Chartered Membership to CIPD desirable.
  • Strong record of working within a senior team to implement organisational change, preferably within an education establishment but this is not essential.
  • Proven track record in delivering transformational HR projects.
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing people strategies and policies.
  • Experience of managing and developing a team to become high performing.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve employee morale and engagement and skilled in developing people systems and processes.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law issues and ability to apply these to a variety of situations using a pragmatic and common-sense approach.

The role requires a commitment to work 4 or 5 days a week but we appreciate that not everyone can make traditional working arrangements fit their lifestyle, so we can support a more flexible working-arrangement, particularly once you are established in the post and with your key stakeholders.
