The nucleus of the Trust is our multi-functional and dedicated Central Services Team who provide continuous operational support to all of our schools across the Trust. This includes HR, Payroll, Finance, Marketing, IT, Estates & Facilities, and Data & Exams. Each team works tirelessly to ensure all services run smoothly and efficiently, enabling our teaching staff to focus on delivering an outstanding education for our students. As a part of the Laurus Trust family, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of the Trust.

Due to continued growth and success, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and pro-active HRIS Assistant to join our dedicated and friendly HR Team. This is an integral piece of recruitment for the wider HR function, as you will be leading on internal system testing, development and implementation Trust wide during an exciting time of growth and innovation.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the HR team with the configuration, maintenance and development of the HR and Payroll system and other internal databases.
  • Provide a professional management information service to both the HR Team and the wider Trust.
  • Support with the build, test and launch of new system functionalities.
  • Support with the creation of system training manuals and user standard operating procedures.
  • Create and maintain the system global tables, tasks and processes including workflows, batch reports and troubleshooting when required.
  • In conjunction with the ICT team, plan for and co-ordinate regular HR system and patch upgrades and act as a contributor to test scripts and system testing.
  • Monitor and process user notifications and system information as applicable.
  • Assist with the importing and exporting of HR data using internal systems, and be responsible for ensuring all HR employee records are accurate and kept up to date at all times.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all system requirements and communications and respond to HR system queries as necessary.
  • Manage identified HR process improvements and projects to drive continuous improvement within HR and the Trust.
  • Design, produce and analyse HR management information using excel and other reporting tools.
  • Maintain and develop effective administration processes to meet the changing demands of the Trust.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Experience of MHR iTrent systems administration is essential
  • Must possess prior experience in a similar HRIS position
  • Experience of Managing database information and reporting requirements
  • A degree in a HR or IT related discipline would be advantageous
  • Must possess a sound educational background including GCSE’s in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent
  • Experience working in a school environment and/or a HR/Payroll Team would be beneficial
