Job overview

HR MANAGER

An exciting role for an experienced HR professional. We are looking for a confident, approachable candidate with great organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a busy environment.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

The Dulwich School Cranbrook is an independent day and boarding school for boys and girls age 2 to 16 set in 50 acres of beautiful Kent countryside with first class grounds and facilities.

We have recently expanded and welcomed our first Year 9s into our wonderfully refurbished Coursehorn Building, which boasts state of the art facilities. It is an exciting time to join the School and we have never been busier!

ABOUT THE ROLE

Ideally we are looking for a CIPD-qualified (or similar) HR professional who has either worked as a Manager or is looking to take a step up from an Advisor or Assistant role.  If you have previously worked within an educational environment, particularly dealing with compliance, safeguarding and ISI/OFSTED inspections, that would be a distinct advantage, but is not essential, as training will be provided.

You will need to enjoy and be able to work in a busy and varied work environment, have the ability to work under your own initiative and be a supportive and reliable member of the wider team. Good communication skills and the confidence to develop excellent working relationships with your colleagues are essential.

The role is full-time, year-round, 40 hours/week (with an additional unpaid half-hour each day for lunch).

Please contact the HR Manager for an application form and job description/person specification: recruitment@dulwichcranbrook.org

We regret we are unable to accept CVs.

Closing date for applications: 5.00pm on Monday 8th April 2024

The Dulwich School Cranbrook is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Therefore, we expect all workers and employees to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including a satisfactory Enhanced criminal records with Barred List check through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

About Dulwich Cranbrook

About The Dulwich School Cranbrook

Dulwich Cranbrook is an independent day and flexi-boarding school for girls and boys aged 2 to 16 years, nested in the beautiful Kent countryside approximately an hour out of London.

Following the recent opening of the Senior School, the expansion up to GCSE is an exciting stage in the School’s development. Dulwich Cranbrook is proud to offer a full spectrum of academic and co-curricular opportunities to its pupils, ensuring that excellence in the classroom is complemented by a fulfilling and varied programme outside it. We champion an individualised approach to learning – inspiring and supporting each and every child to fulfil their potential, and equipping them with the skills and confidence they need to navigate their own unique educational pathway. We do this by inspiring a love of learning and an open mind. This educational philosophy is at the core of our offer, from Early Years through to GCSE.

Through our pastoral and extensive co-curricular programme, we give children plenty of room to grow beyond the classroom – developing a strong sense of identity and close friendships, forged through shared passions. Pastoral care is deeply ingrained within our culture and organisational structure. We take the time to understand each and every child within our care, ensuring they’re given the support they need to develop.

At every stage of a child’s education, we offer an inspiring, age-relevant and nurturing environment – combined with the resources, facilities, and community of something much larger. Our forward thinking and passionate staff enable our children to make the most of our beautiful 50 acres of grounds, thoughtfully designed modern classrooms and superb facilities. Together with our parents, we are proud to have created a vibrant and compassionate school community where we aim to inspire and develop confident, capable and compassionate young people – the changemakers of the future.
