Sir John Cass Secondary School is an outstanding inner-city Church of England school.  We take pride in our ethos of academic ambition, exceptionally high standards of achievement and behaviour, and tolerance and respect for all.

We are recruiting an HR Officer to play a key role in the smooth and efficient running of the HR function within the School.

Providing a high quality generalist HR service, the post holder will focus on recruitment, payroll, and providing management information. S/he will also work flexibly and undertake general HR work as necessary.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be responsible for administering payroll with the School’s external payroll provider, administering the recruitment process from start to finish, advising and supporting line managers on good practice, being the first point of contact for payroll and other HR queries from across the School.

The successful applicant will have substantial experience of running payroll and using payroll systems, demonstrable knowledge of HR processes, and the ability to maintain tact, confidentiality and discretion. You will have excellent organisational skills, a high attention to detail and be willing to keep informed of changes and updates to employment law.

Please visit the school website (http://www.sjcr.net/) for an application form, job description and person specification. Please complete and return this to Shima Bashar, HR Manager at hr-mailbox@sjcr.net.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. We are committed to equality and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
