The HR department is a cohesive department, looking after the HR needs of the Organisation, which encompasses Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate, and the Thorpe Underwood Estate, and currently has in excess of 700 staff across all departments, including Estates, Academic and Boarding. The HR department is responsible for all aspects of HR across the site.  The main purpose of the role is to support the HR Manager and wider business in relation to HR Issues.  The school actively promotes the professional development of its staff through induction, CPD and career development opportunities.     We now require a full time HR Officer to work within our HR department.  As a part of our team you will need to be efficient and proactive, with the ability to prioritise work within a fast-moving environment, whilst remaining calm under pressure. The position has a strong focus on employee relations, compliance and HR administration.  This is an exciting opportunity for a focused and positive individual with excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels Experience working in an HR department advising on a range of HR issues, ideally in the Education sector, is essential. Although CIPD or equivalent qualifications are not essential, a good working knowledge of Safer Recruitment in Schools would be an advantage.
