HR, payroll and pensions officer

Vanguard Learning Trust is keen to recruit a HR, payroll and pensions officer who will embrace our Trust’s vision and support one of our aims to engender collective responsibility across our Trust.

Our HR, payroll and pensions officer will:

• provide administrative and support for the Trust’s growing and evolving HR function. Working alongside the Trust HR manager, they will have a key role in each stage of the employee life-cycle, supporting and enhancing the experience of our staff.
• be responsible for ensuring an effective and efficient payroll service for the Trust. As part of budget setting, the postholder will assist with the production of a detailed staff salary budget across the Trust, work with the HR staff across the schools to ensure that updated salary letters are financially accurate, and ensure that the information satisfies both payroll and external auditing needs. 
• be responsible for the administration associated with teachers’ and support staff’s pensions, liaising with pension administrators to prepare, and review, the information for statutory returns, general queries and auto enrolment. They will maintain the Trust’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and Trust’s payroll portal, so that data is current and compliant with the principles of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and data protection legislation. 

The successful candidate will be based at our Trust central base, at Field End Junior School, with travel between our schools as required.
