The Role:

Join our vibrant HR team at New City College! We are dedicated to excellence in education and professional development. We are seeking an HR Systems, Reporting, and Data Coordinator to manage and enhance our HR systems which include iTrent and Business Objects among others. This role will ensure data integrity and providing valuable insights and comprehensive reporting. This role can be based in either our Hackney or Havering hub, however, this role does span across our college group and will require some travel.

Who You Are:
You possess extensive experience with HR Systems, including system configuration, maintenance, and module development. Knowledge of Business Objects and HR systems is essential, involvement with iTrent and Power BI is desirable, but would highly benefit your application. You have advanced IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel), attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. You are self-motivated, customer service-oriented, able to handle a demanding workload, and maintain confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • HR Systems Management: Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and security of the college HR systems, ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection regulations.
  • Data Processing: Manage the processing of employee data, system upgrades, and patches, ensuring thorough testing and seamless integration.
  • User Support & Training: Provide support and training for HR, payroll, and college staff, developing user guides and training materials.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Design and build HR and payroll reports using Business Objects, providing regular and ad-hoc reports to support decision-making.
  • System Development: Lead HR system projects, implementing new modules and improving processes to maximise efficiency.

Havering College of Further and Higher Education and Havering Sixth Form College are now part of the New City College Group. 

  

Havering Colleges’ Sixth Form is in Wingletye Lane, Hornchurch.  It is easily accessible by public transport, bus (193, 248, 370), Underground (District Line - Upminster Bridge) and Mainline Rail (Upminster). with visitor and accessible parking onsite. 

The Sixth Form predominantly offers full-time courses at Level 3 (Post GCSE) for students aged 16-19, including a very wide range of A Levels and full-time BTEC vocational programmes.  

A small number of courses are offered at Level 2 (GCSE level): GCSE resits in English Language and Maths, GCSEs in Art & Design Graphics, Art & Design Photography and BTEC courses in Health & Social Care, Sport and Travel & Tourism. 

From September 2020 the Sixth Form will also house a specialist discrete study area for approximately 100 high-need Foundation Learning students. 

Over 70% of students progress from the Sixth Form to university with a significant proportion also going on to higher level apprenticeships or high quality employment. 

We have around 2,300 students educated at this campus.
