The Escola Internacional del Camp (EIC) is an international school which opened in 2012 and has just finished its 7th year.
The school, located in Salou south of Barcelona, has a new building complex with potential to welcome up to 800 students (650 this year), is inclusive and offers a complete education to students aged 1 to 18+. This is the first school to run with the Socrates Educa model, an innovative pedagogical system which will be implemented in other new schools in the future.
It is a popular and happy English / Spanish / Catalan trilingual school, offering Pre-school, Primary, Secondary, National and International Baccalaureate (IB), with an international emphasis and also Chinese as a foreign language. Parents are continuously involved in the life of the school. Our curriculum is based on the local curriculum but is influenced by teachers from around the world and taught mainly in English. Former students are already studying in universities in the UK, Spain, the Netherlands, France, Canada, Germany and Switzerland.
We run a wide range of extra-curricular activities, community links and projects as well as educational/cultural events and visits.
The School is seeking to appoint an HR Technician. The post-holder will be responsible for the provision of a professional and efficient HR service to the School and that all of the EIC’s HR policies and procedures are being followed effectively.
The role, which is being offered as a full-time position, will involve collaboration with many other staff. The responsibilities will vary from time to time as the needs of the School determine. A detailed job description is attached, and duties will be based around HR Operations & Projects as well as Recruitment.
We are looking for someone who is
- Educated to degree level or equivalent or has relevant experience (Psychology or Labour Relations degrees, for example will be considered)
- Has experience in a foreign country. Having lived on a different continent will be highly considered.
- Is fluent in English and Spanish.
- Catalan, Chinese and other languages would be an advantage.
Has experience of working in a generalist advisory HR role (including all aspects of recruitment).
Has evidence of continuous professional development in the area of HR.
- Is diplomatic, approachable and able to build strong working relationships at all levels.
- Is pro-active, organised and has excellent attention to detail.
