Job overview

The MILL Academy is first and foremost about education so school improvement, staff development, and enabling our young people to excel is at the heart of what we do. We are seeking an experienced professional who is highly motivated to lead the HR team and provide HR support across the schools in the MILL Academy Trust.

You will work in partnership with senior leaders to deliver a compliant, professional HR business service underpinning the Trust’s educational aims and development plans. As a visible role model and champion of the Trust’s aims and values you will provide sound and creative professional advice on all areas relating to Human Resources.

This is a wide and varied role in which you will be required to work in support of our schools across a wide range of areas, from safer recruitment, performance, policy development, employee relations and wellbeing.

This is an opportunity to make your mark within a forward thinking Academy Trust and to grow your own team. The successful candidate will have a good knowledge and understanding of HR policy and practices ideally in an educational environment.

Strong experience in leading a HR team and managing change is essential, so a CIPD qualification is desirable or a commitment to attain such qualifications. You should be a natural and empathic communicator as you will be required to work at all levels, from Trustees of the Board through to teaching and support staff.

The Henry Box School is committed to promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The appointment will be subject to enhanced DBS clearance and other relevant pre-employment checks. Please click here for further information regarding our Safeguarding Policy.

As our commitment to professional development is second to none, the successful candidate can be assured of receiving outstanding support in order to further develop their career.

Applications must be submitted on The Mill Academy Official Support staff application forms; unaccompanied CVs will not be accepted.

If you would like an informal discussion about the post please contact Miss N Stretton, Director of Finance and Academy Services, on 01993 848106. Visits to the Academy are also warmly welcomed.

This is an all year round role but consideration will be given to flexible working.

Closing Date: 8am Tuesday 10th July 2018. Interviews to be held week beginning 15th July 2018
