You will contribute to the effective running of the Multi-Academy Trust central HR service based at Congleton High School.
It is a challenging role that requires commitment to develop HR processes that were previously under local authority control. The successful applicant will have tenacity and a professional, flexible approach to their work.
This is a HR generalist role which amongst other responsibilities includes managing all staff recruitment, HR administration (setting up contracts, sickness absence monitoring, etc.) and Safeguarding checks. You will be expected to maintain the school’s Single Central Record and oversee the annual School Workforce Census.
Confidentiality and sensitivity are essential qualities you must possess as you will provide advice and guidance to line managers and Senior Leadership Team members in accordance with current employment legislation.
CIPD Level 5, or equivalent HR related qualification, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in an HR generalist role with a working knowledge of Employment Law, HR Policies and Procedures.
Experience of working in a school or academy is desirable as an understanding of the complexities of operating in such a multi-faceted work environment will be advantageous.
37 hours per week, Full Year
Salary Scale: Grade 8 £26,470 per annum L G Pension Scheme
