DO YOU SHARE OUR PASSION TO INSPIRE EVERY YOUNG PERSON TO REACH THEIR POTENTIAL?

Cumbria Education Trust is a highly successful and rapidly expanding not-for-profit charitable organisation, formed in 2015.  We are the largest school-based MAT in Cumbria with eleven schools currently in the family; eight primary and three secondary schools.  Our vision is to provide the best education possible within Cumbria.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR & Payroll Assistant to join our newly established HR department supporting the embedding of the function and development of HR practice and process across the Trust.  The position will be primarily based at our Brampton Office based out of William Howard School, but will provide support across all of our academies.

As a key ‘go to' person within the business for HR and payroll support, this role will ensure delivery of response time for all HR  and pay related queries and ensure monthly payroll activities are completed within set deadline dates. With a track record of outstanding customer service, it is essential that you thrive on maintaining the highest standards, with a priority on continuous improvement and quality delivery.

This is a busy and fast paced role and candidates will need to possess solid numerical and analytical skills, in addition to strong communication and interpersonal skills. HR / Payroll system experience would be highly advantageous, in addition to overall strong system skills.

We offer:

• A commitment to your personal and professional development with opportunity for further qualification.

• Opportunity to take on further responsibility within the HR function.

• Wide and varied practical experience.

• A friendly and vibrant Trust community with a supportive team ethos.

• Membership to the Local Government Pension Scheme

This post provides a perfect opportunity to equip you with the practical experience needed to set you on the road to a successful career in HR.
