Full-Time HR Assistant Position

The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for assisting with the administration and management of all human resources functions at the school. We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.


What will you do on a day-to-day basis?

The Human Resources Assistant will report to the HR Officer and work closely with the school's employees.

  • Assist in managing HR functions including recruitment, performance management, employee relations, benefits, and compensation.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the school’s employee policies and procedures, HR handbook, and employee online forms.
  • Aid in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, recruiting, interviewing, and hiring for open positions.
  • Assist with employee onboarding, orientation, exit processes, and document completion.
  • Maintain employee records and files.
  • Support the Principal and relevant leadership team members in resolving employee relations issues.
  • Assist in the annual performance management process for staff.
  • Help coordinate professional development initiatives for staff.
  • Support payroll administration and coordinate visas for international teachers.
  • Process employee illnesses


What will you bring to the table?

The ideal candidate for this role will have the following qualifications, experience, skills, and attributes:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in Human Resources or an Office Assistant position.
  • Kind, pleasant, and effective communicator, willing to serve people at all levels in the organization.
  • Basic knowledge of human resource principles, procedures, and practices.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and functions.
  • Well-developed business ethics and the ability to maintain a high level of discretion.
  • Knowledge of Dutch employment law and regulations is a plus.
  • Proficiency in basic business and payroll software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.


Desirable qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Dutch.
  • Experience working in Education.
