Job overview

We are looking for a strong HR generalist to join our team of HR Business Partners at the College and work closely with managers and staff to provide an efficient, effective and high quality HR service.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for providing a holistic HR service to allocated client departments within their portfolio. As part of the Business Partner team, you will be required to ensure the provision of a comprehensive, proactive, customer focused, solution-led human resources service that takes account of emerging business needs and ensures consistent and fair practices are applied. Identifying best practice, embedding continuous improvement and standards and creating a proactive service to address customer needs are all essential requirements of the role.

We are looking for someone who is committed to providing a high quality service, understanding and addressing customer needs, has the ability to motivate others to provide a proactive service and thrives in a challenging and busy environment.

The ideal candidate should be fully CIPD qualified, have demonstrable experience of providing excellent HR services within a large complex unionised organisation, working closely with managers advising and delivering on employee relations matters and experience of policy development and delivery of training to managers on HR policy and practice.
