About the role

Gosforth Group require an enthusiastic and proactive HR Business Partner to play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of a proactive and forward-thinking HR operational advice and support service across the Trust. 

This is a unique opportunity to join us at an exciting time as we plan to grow and further develop our central HR function to support the continued provision of an efficient and effective Trust-wide HR service and facilitate the Trust’s aims for growth. 


What we are looking for

You'll be an experienced HR professional who understands how to achieve our Trust vision through the provision of an excellent HR operational advice and support service, working in partnership with academy leadership teams on all employee relations matters, ensuring timely and effective resolution, and supporting leaders through Trust/Academy change programmes. 

You will be a confident communicator, with the ability to communicate with diverse audiences, proven experience of all aspects of operational HR delivery, sound understanding employment legislation and the ability to effectively translate legislation into your practice, ensuring any organisational risks are identified and well managed.  

You will have experience of effectively managing your own ER caseload, as well as the ability to contribute and support HR related projects, to drive change and improvement throughout the academies you support. 

You will have a calm, organised nature, with the ability to work professionally to strict deadlines, responding effectively and efficiently to challenges, bringing vision and drive to make things happen.  

The successful candidate must be able to manage their time effectively to ensure they regularly visit the academy’s they support, maintaining positive and successful working relationships with colleagues across the Trust, whilst also spending time with the central HR team to support project work. It is therefore important that you are comfortable working as part of a team and independently. 

Finally, the safety of our pupils is paramount, therefore it is essential that the successful post holder is committed to child protection and safeguarding.
