Role Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator supports the HR Manager with both staff care and administrative tasks to ensure smooth, compliant, and mission-aligned HR operations. This role handles documentation, onboarding, and day-to-day processes that keep OCSI’s people systems organized, caring, and effective.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment & Onboarding – Support the HR Manager with new staff recruitment, paperwork, and onboarding processes.
  • Staff Care & Community – Plan and facilitate staff care initiatives, events and community-building activities that strengthen workplace morale.
  • Housing & Relocation Support – Coordinate logistical and administrative support for staff housing, relocation, and transition needs.
  • HR Administration – Maintain updated staff databases and assist the HR Manager with routine HR documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration – Work with other departments to ensure smooth communication and coordinated administrative support.
  • Staff Relations – Serve as a primary contact for staff welfare, questions, and feedback, promoting a caring and responsive HR environment.
Qualifications:
  • Meet or exceed board-mandated qualifications (B2.2.1).
  • Experience in administrative or HR support; bilingual work experience preferred.
  • Strong organization, accuracy, and follow-through in documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
  • Bilingual (English and Japanese) required.
