Advert description:

We are looking for an experienced HR Director to lead HR services across the College Group which consists of three sites; Guildford College (general Further Education), Merrist Wood College (a land based College close to Guildford) and Farnham Sixth Form College. The three Colleges have a total of around 700 staff and the centralised HR service operates a Business Partner model for the three Colleges and centralised business support services.

You will need significant experience as a Head or Director of HR in a complex organisation, although not necessarily within the public sector. You will lead on HR services, including recruitment, shaping performance management in the College, union consultations, employee engagement, pay and reward and restructuring exercises. You will have experience of policy determination and implementation and of resolving complex employment issues, in order to support improvements in the quality of curriculum delivery.

Guildford College is the largest further and higher education college in Surrey. Stoke Park Campus is set in parkland close to Guildford town centre and was opened in 1939. It was the first in south east England to have two Centres of Vocational Excellence - in Travel and Tourism and in Business, Finance and Accounting, and the first in Surrey to achieve Action for Business College Accreditation.
