We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and qualified Humanities / English Teacher to join our successful and growing school in Moscow from January 2021, or as soon as possible thereafter.

Please note: Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, entry into Russia is currently limited to the countries listed below. For this reason, we invite applications only from the following regions:

Nb/ Residents and nationals from these 14 countries are able enter Russia, as long as they are coming direct from that nation, and not via a third-party nation. Example: A resident/ citizen of Switzerland can come directly from Switzerland, but not from vacationing or recently residing in France.

About the School

The English International School Moscow, englishedmoscow.com is a British style  , international school in Moscow based on two sites. It offers learning and teaching experiences based on the Early Years Foundation Stage and English National Curriculum enhanced to meet the needs of its international student body. The class sizes are small with a maximum of 18 students.

The school also forms part of the Orbital Education group https://orbitaled.com/  an expanding group of  international schools providing a British Education to an internationally diverse student population.  As part of the Orbital group, our staff have the opportunity to work and collaborate with colleagues around the world, in addition to enhanced development opportunities.

About the Role

The role is due to start in January 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter, and will be to teach Humanities/PSHE to KS3 and KS4 students and English to Years 6 and 7, as part of a developing Humanities team. If you are an experienced History specialist there would also be an opportunity to teach some A Level. An excellent remuneration package is available.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions we can only accept applications from applicants who hold a UK, Turkish, Swiss or Tanzanian passport. Applications are invited from teachers currently working in the UK maintained or independent school sectors and from those already posted overseas.

Applicants must have a relevant Bachelor degree from a reputable UK University (or equivalent), Qualified Teacher Status, with either a PGCE or BEd from the UK, a minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a maintained, independent or international British style school, and experience of teaching the English National Curriculum at KS3 and IGCSE classes. Applications from native speakers of English are preferred.
