Job overview

The Swiss International School of Qatar  is seeking a flexible and dedicated  Humanities teacher, preferably with a specialism in Geography, for September and October 2019 to cover a maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of SISQ's team at a crucial time, as we launch our IB Diploma Programme in September.

The cover will include MYP Individuals and Societies lessons as well as DP Geography classes. Exact dates will be from August 18th to October 17th 2019.

The successful candidate will have the following essential qualities:

  • Experience and training to teach Humanities at Secondary level (11-18)
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • A collaborative style and a good sense of humour 
  • A commitment to student learning and safeguarding  


The following qualities would be an advantage: 

  • Experience and training in teaching Geography; IB teachers are preferred but A-Level Geography teachers will be considered.
  • Experience in an international setting 
  • MYP experience
