Egypt British International School (EBIS) is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Humanities Teacher to join our team for the 2026 academic year, aligned with our mission of Enriching – Exploring – Excelling and our core values of enrichment, empowerment, esteem, and excellence.

We are looking for a passionate educator who inspires curiosity about the world, fosters critical thinking, and promotes global awareness within a nurturing, culturally grounded British-curriculum environment. The successful candidate will encourage students to explore history, geography, and related disciplines while developing analytical skills and an appreciation of diverse perspectives.

Requirements:

        Bachelor’s degree in Humanities, History, Geography, or a related field with recognised Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

        A minimum of 2 years of successful teaching experience, preferably within an international British-curriculum context.

        Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Humanities subjects.

        Ability to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across Key Stages.

        Experience in cross-curricular planning and inquiry-based learning approaches.

        Skilled in positive behaviour management and fostering respect, curiosity, and discussion.

        Strong organisational, communication, and collaboration skills.

 

Job Description:

·         Plan and deliver high-quality Humanities lessons aligned with National Curriculum objectives.

·         Inspire students to think critically about historical events, geographical issues, and global perspectives.

·         Promote research, analytical, and evaluative skills through engaging classroom activities.

·         Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages discussion and respect for diverse viewpoints.

·         Assess, monitor, and record student progress in line with school policies.

·         Organise and support enrichment opportunities such as trips, projects, and themed events.

·         Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular and whole-school initiatives.

·         Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and engagement.

·         Attend weekly CPD sessions and contribute to ongoing professional development.

·         Support school events and enrichment activities that promote a broad and balanced education.

The International Schools Campus ISC first opened its doors in September 2006. The unique and global style of the school has proven popular and attractive to a wide variety of families in the area. Today the enrolment comprises approximately 3000 students divided upon two Schools EBIS & Concordia). EBIS has very successfully attended the COBIS Games in Abu Dhabi in 2014 and Athens in 2015 and this year will compete in Kazakhstan and Dubai.

The International Schools Campus (ISC) aims to provide a tailored British Education for students from Nursery to year 12. Our curriculum represents the very best of current practice in the United Kingdom with an international perspective appropriate to our Students` culture and heritage. The diversity of the student body is not only respected but cherished and celebrated.

EBIS is a through school encompassing all four Key stages and a very well regarded Sixth Form Centre. EBIS offers the English National Curriculum at EYFS, KS1, KS2, KS3 and a combination of GCSE, IGCSE AS and A levels within the IGCSE College.

From September 2015 EBIS introduced a new option based course available for KS4 that included a traditional UK style pathway. Within the appointments this year EBIS is looking for staff that can contribute to that KS4 and eventual KS5 programme.
