Ormiston Six Villages is an 11-16 Academy with 600 students on roll. A new Principal commenced in role in January 2016 and the academy is on a transformational journey; this is an exciting time to join our team and to be part of building a beacon of educational excellence. 

We are looking to appoint an inspirational Humanities teacher who shares our belief in the highest standards of academic attainment in a comprehensive setting through consistently outstanding teaching and learning.  The role is suited to a main scale Humanities teacher or an NQT looking to develop further as an outstanding teacher. 

The successful candidate will:

· Have excellent subject knowledge

· Achieve outstanding student outcomes

· Possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of the community we serve

They will have the opportunity to:

· Be involved in the design and development of the Humanities curriculum

Ormiston Six Villages Academy is a mainstream, non-denominational, co-educational secondary school for children aged 11-16. It is situated in Chichester in West Sussex and there are 600 pupils on its roll.

The academy is sponsored by the Ormiston Academies Trust.

“Action taken has resulted in better tracking of pupils’ progress and stronger arrangements to manage teachers’ performance. Pupils behave appropriately and show positive attitudes to learning. Arrangements for safeguarding are effective and pupils are well cared for and feel safe. Decisive action taken since October by Ormiston Academies Trust has strengthened the leadership of the school.”
