Job overview

For August 2023, we are looking for a dynamic Business and Management teacher committed to the holistic growth of students. The appointee will be a member of the Humanities faculty. In Years 6-10, an integrated MYP Individuals and Societies / Humanities course is delivered; in Years 11 and 12 the IBDP Business and Management course is delivered.

The appointee plays an important role in the development of the IB DP Programme, leading the development and delivery of the Business and Management course.  The candidate would also likely teach some hours of MYP Individuals and Societies, DP Economics or DP ToK depending on the candidate’s profile.

Post Profile

  • Prior experience with DP Business and Management with at least two years of teaching experience.
  • Training in IB DP program, subject specialism in Business and Management, Economics or a related discipline.
  • Have experience of teaching the IB Middle Years and /or Diploma Programme;
  • Familiarity with best practices for teaching and learning and constructivist, conceptually-driven approaches to curriculum.
  • Demonstrate expert classroom practice that promotes inquiry-based learning;
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills;
  • Demonstrate a growth mind-set and positive drive. 


Contract

  • An initial two-year contract with flights to and from country of residence for appointee and close family;
  • A salary paid in American dollars which is highly competitive for Latin America;
