Founded in 1998, Mahindra International School is a well-established school serving Pune’s expatriates and both repatriating and globally-minded Indian families who wish to offer an international education to their children. We are a not-for-profit school established under the Public Charitable Trust Act, an independent entity not part of a group of schools.

Our teaching faculty and administrators are amongst the finest in the world, sought after by the very top international and independent schools. We recruit globally and locally with a commitment to ensuring that the highest quality of individualized instruction is offered to all our students.

At MIS, we strive to ensure that all children feel a sense of purpose and belonging and are seen for who they are. We are not a one-size-fits-all school and our small size, which has been maintained intentionally over the years, allows us to sustain a tight-knit community with a family feel. The strong partnerships we develop with our families enable us to understand the specific needs of our students and to provide them with what they need to be successful.

FACILITIES

Aligned with our learning philosophy, our 4-acre campus provides a beautiful and intimate space for our community of learners. Easy access to outdoor areas supports student well-being and promotes active, lifelong learning through play and sports. Our learning spaces are designed to promote inquiry, while two libraries, visual arts and music studios, design workshops, a swimming pool, and sports facilities promote our holistic approach. We have an excellent on-site catering service, a medical centre with a doctor and two nurses, and a school-owned transportation fleet.

TECHNOLOGY

Technology is an integral part of what we do at MIS and we are excited to be living in times when technology enhances our learning as we continue to explore new tools as well. Our teachers are empowered to innovate using cutting-edge technology, but they also recognize that traditional and proven approaches to teaching and learning still have a place in our classrooms. Hence, we use a variety of approaches to ensure that all our learners are engaged and challenged.

We appreciate the importance of digital literacy and use technology to develop responsible and empowered individuals.

Our technology integration is achieved through an iPad programme in the early years, a 1-1 Chromebook programme starting in 3rd grade, and a bring-your-own laptop programme in the secondary years.
