IB MYP & DP I&S teacher (with the possibility of MYP Coordinator for the right candidate)

Due to our expanding student body, Budapest British International School (BBIS) is seeking exceptional, innovative educators to join our community.  BBIS provides a 'students first' education, where every child is recognised, valued and included. Successful candidates should have knowledge and experience of teaching the IB MYP & DP.  They must hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher with a recognised teaching qualification and have completed recent IB training. They must demonstrate compatibility with the IB philosophy, coupled with the flexibility and commitment needed to meet the demands of an innovative and expanding school.

In BBIS, students in the MYP study towards the Integrated Humanities examination in MYP and currently for Business, Economics and Psychology in the DP.  

Any of the following would provide a candidate with a distinct advantage:

• IB recognized professional development for MYP or DP

• Experience of teaching both the MYP and DP programmes

• Experience of preparing for the MYP Integrated Humanities onscreen exam

• IB Examiner for MYP or DP 

• The ability to teach a DP subject e.g. Business Management or Theory of Knowledge

BBIS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and will check the suitability of staff to work with children. Applicants must be willing to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and overseas police checks (where necessary).

Formed four years ago, BBIS is located in Buda, the leafy side of Budapest. Our current roll of 250 students is expanding to a maximum of 480 representing many different nationalities.

The shortlisted candidates will be invited to a first-round video interview by Sparkhire, followed by a second-round Skype interview. BBIS reserves the right to arrange Spark hire/Skype interviews for suitable candidates before the closing date.
