About the academy

If you want to work in a positive, open and supportive environment to change young people’s lives for the better then you should apply for this role. Staff turnover is low, student behaviour is excellent with student outcomes significantly improving.

We are driven by our core purpose of the Exploration of Life. Our purpose is enacted in line with our values of Integritas, Ambition, Resilience and Duty and brought to life through our four different curriculums.

Our academic curriculums are built from thresholds concepts specific to the subject discipline. Our pastoral curriculum develops the whole child, enabling them to understand their role in a global world. Our elevate curriculum works with those students at risk of falling behind to elevate them onto the mainstream curriculum. Our staff curriculum embraces that fact that as a motivated, trained and passionate team we will achieve more collectively than we ever could separately.

Students leave CoLA as thoughtful and empowered young people, ready to shape the world for the better.

The City of London Academy is well respected by the Bermondsey and Rotherhithe community. We are proud of what we have to offer and invite you to find out more.
