Job overview

We are recruiting for an ICT/Computer Science Teacher to join us from September 2022.

Bitterne Park School is a large community school with a strong tradition of academic achievement. We provide an excellent education for 11-19 year olds set within the Bitterne Park Community. Our core values of Community; Achievement; Respect; Relationships and Enjoyment permeate all that we aspire to be.

We are seeking to appoint an innovative and enthusiastic teacher of ICT/Computer Science who is passionate about growing the subject and who would make a positive contribution to the learning and opportunities of our students. You will have the opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3 – 5 in a school/sixth form where students are aspirational and engaged in their learning. ICT/Computer Science are popular subjects with a high uptake at KS4 and students make excellent progress.

The successful candidate should be able to teach ICT to at least KS4. Experience in teaching ICT/Computer Science at KS5 is desirable but is not essential. The opportunity to teach A Level Computer Science may be available for the right candidate.

We welcome applications from both ECT’s and experienced teachers. As the lead school for the Bitterne Park Teacher Training Alliance, we offer our staff access to an excellent ECT programme, a broad range of high-quality training and the opportunity to work in various capacities with colleagues from our partner schools. We are a flourishing and over-subscribed school, with high expectations of all our students and a commitment to the personal and professional development of our staff.

If you excel at enabling the learning of students, we would be delighted to receive your application.

Closing date: Friday 13 December 2021– noon
