The Cranmer Education Trust are seeking an experienced and proactive ICT Network Manager to join our dynamic team at The Brian Clarke Academy who will also support a network of schools with high-quality, secure, and efficient ICT infrastructure and services.

You will play a vital role in maintaining and developing the trust’s IT systems, ensuring smooth operation across all sites, and leading a team of technicians to deliver outstanding support to staff and students, whilst embedding the Trust’s ethos in everything you do.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, management, and maintenance of the Hub's ICT infrastructure and networks.
  • Provide strategic guidance on IT systems, security, and innovation.
  • Manage hardware, software, servers, cloud systems, and networking equipment across the Hub sites
  • Monitor and maintain data backup, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, data protection, and safeguarding protocols.
  • Lead and mentor the ICT support team to ensure responsive and effective service delivery.
  • Liaise with senior leadership, school staff, and external vendors to ensure IT solutions align with educational and operational needs.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in network and systems management, ideally within an educational environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge across various platforms and systems (Windows Server, Office 365, Azure, Active Directory, ESET, etc.).
  • Experience with safeguarding and data protection (e.g. GDPR compliance).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Relevant IT qualifications (e.g., Microsoft, Aruba, CompTIA, etc.).
  • Positive, open and has a friendly attitude to customer service, improvement and delivery.

The Brian Clarke CE Academy is a new school school for Oldham, providing an excellent education for children and a school community that is a true microcosm of our town - aspirational, multi-cultural, multi-faith and multi-talented.

The school opened with a founding team of staff in September 2022 to 240 young people and will continue to grow annually to a pupil body of 1200.
