About Northampton College

Northampton College is a general further education (GFE) college in the East Midlands region which opened in 1973, with circa 10,000 students and a turnover of circa £40M. It operates from a main campus on the outskirts of Northampton town at Booth Lane, a town centre campus at Lower Mounts and a third smaller campus in Daventry.

Recent capital investment projects to enhance the college estate and develop the curriculum in response to identified local and regional priorities include the new build campus in Daventry, the Advanced Construction Engineering Centre (ACE Centre), a new build Digital Academy, a Green Skills Centre, immersive classrooms, and end point assessment facilities such as the AM2 Assessment Centre for Electrical Installation skills testing.

Ranked fifth nationally for 16 to 18-year-old education and training, Northampton College is the leading college in the region, with strengths in health and social care, engineering, creative industries, construction, catering and digital.

Students are treated as individuals, with tailor-made study programmes bringing out the best in their ability. As a result, 96% of students pass their qualifications while 94% go on to further study or employment.
