This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join the ICT Systems Support team at the Sheffield College.  Systems Technicians provide second line support to our staff and students – providing advice on the use of our IT systems, troubleshooting technical problems and managing the life cycle of software and equipment across the College.


Ideally, you will be educated to A level, NVQ L3 or equivalent and have experience of supporting IT hardware and software in a diverse educational environment.

In house and on the job training will be provided to ensure you become familiar with our systems and procedures as quickly as possible. The Systems Team also runs a coaching and mentoring scheme for all team members to support their professional development.


Effective communication skills, a professional approach, attention to detail and the ability to work with minimum supervision are essential qualities for success in this role. 


Some flexible working is required to ensure that the service is available from 8am – 8pm but this is on a pre-arranged rota basis.
