GHARS International School is seeking a dynamic and innovative ICT Teacher to join our dedicated team. As an ICT Teacher for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, you will have the opportunity to inspire and empower students to become confident users and creators of digital technology, preparing them for success in an increasingly digital world.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in ICT for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, following the school's curriculum and ensuring alignment with national standards.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel motivated and encouraged to explore and excel in ICT.
  • Utilize a range of teaching methods, resources, and technologies to cater to different learning styles and abilities, promoting active participation and critical thinking.
  • Integrate real-world applications and projects into the curriculum to enhance students' understanding and appreciation of ICT in various contexts.
  • Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback and support to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, develop interdisciplinary projects, and contribute to the overall enhancement of the ICT curriculum.
  • Engage with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress, address any concerns or queries, and promote home-school partnerships.


Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching ICT at Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4 level, with a strong understanding of relevant curriculum frameworks and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent knowledge of current trends, tools, and technologies in ICT, including programming, digital literacy, cybersecurity, and multimedia applications.
  • Passion for inspiring and motivating students to develop their digital skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in ICT education.
  • Experience with extracurricular activities or initiatives related to ICT, such as coding clubs, robotics competitions, or digital storytelling, is desirable.
