Permanent, 35 hours per week, Term Time plus one* 

Salary: NJC Grade 5 £19,312 - £20,092 per annum FTE* 

(Actual salary in the region of £15,616- £16,246) 

Faringdon Learning Trust has a vacancy for an ICT Technician / Apprentice ICT Technician to support the Trusts ICT provision across our Primary and Secondary Schools.  As part of the ICT Services team, the post holder will provide technical support for the ICT infrastructure across our Trusts school sites. 

*If you are interested in undertaking an apprenticeship, support for a Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Computing Apprenticeship at Swindon New College would be considered.  This would be an 18-month apprenticeship, 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, paid at NJC grade 3 £18,198 - £18,562 per annum FTE (actual annual salary in the region £17,214 - £17,558). 

We are looking for a candidate who: 

Has excellent IT skills and understanding; 

Is keen to expand their technical knowledge of ICT systems and infrastructure support; 

Has a solution orientated, methodical approach to problem solving and testing; 

Is confident with Microsoft applications and systems including Office 365. 

The post holder will be required to visit multiple school sites all of which are currently within 10 miles of Faringdon, so own transport and a full clean driving licence are essential.

About Faringdon Community College

Faringdon Community College opened under its current name in 2000, having previously been known as Tollington Secondary Modern School. Located in the town of Faringdon, Oxfordshire, the school provides a co-educational secondary education for students aged 11-18.

In 2012, the school became part of the Faringdon Academy of Schools, alongside seven others. The Faringdon Academy of Schools includes institutions at all stages of children’s education and allows providers in the local area to work more closely together.

Faringdon Community College provides for around 1,500 secondary and sixth-form students.
