ICT Technician - Supporting schools on Walney Island
F12 – F17 (£21,589 - £23,836)
An opportunity has arisen where we are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join our ICT Team. We are looking for someone who will be able to make a positive contribution to the continuing development of ICT in our schools and who is organised and self-motivated.
The vacancy will suit a person who has experience of ICT support but attitude and customer service skills are equally important. Ideally, the successful candidate will have a working knowledge of network systems, their installation, maintenance and adaptation. They will possess a high level of communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work independently. We use ICT extensively in supporting teaching and learning and therefore this position requires enthusiasm for innovative ICT development to meet the challenge of continuing improvement in every aspect of our schools.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate an ability to provide a first class customer service to all users. Knowledge and experience of SIMS and/or other school-based management information systems would be desirable but not essential.
The role will be based at Walney School but supporting other schools in the Barrow area.
