Saint John Houghton Catholic Voluntary Academy, part of the St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi-Academy Trust are looking to appoint an IT Technician who will work as part of a very experienced team.

The successful candidate must be enthusiastic and self-motivated. With responsibility for the maintenance and development of the school’s IT infrastructure, as well as the day to day running of the helpdesk, you should have a strong understanding of current hardware and software systems. Experience of working in a helpdesk environment, excellent communication skills, innovation, creativity and an ability to work without supervision are all essential criteria for this post.  You will be part of a small team, in a busy but friendly environment within a supportive school community.

This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral member of the Academy’s ICT support team and assist in the development of the network.

You will work on a busy helpdesk ensuring incidents are diagnosed and resolved quickly. A professional, efficient helpdesk ensures minimal disruption to teaching and learning.

You will be working with a range of hardware and software technologies including; Microsoft Server 2008 through to 2019, Windows 10, Apple Mac’s, Active Directory and switches supporting VOIP/ CCTV / WiFi.
