The Role

The role is a wide-ranging one.  Alongside the regular IT Helpdesk requirement, the successful candidate will be expected to support hardware, software and online platforms from multiple vendors, and technologies from photocopiers to virtual Cloud environments.  We currently have three teaching sites, a Bursar’s Office, Sports Pavilion and a local Church & Hall (all closely located), the candidate will need to attend to support users at these locations as and when required. There will be opportunities to work on longer term projects to investigate and upgrade the School’s equipment, infrastructure and processes.

An eye for detail and a measure of thoroughness will be an advantage. Existing experience supporting IT systems in a school or educational setting is desirable, but not essential.

The Requirement

The ICT Technician role is a full time, permanent position, which continues throughout the year, albeit with shorter hours during the school holidays.  Overtime is paid for working beyond agreed hours. The package includes a generous holiday entitlement and a contributory pension scheme. The successful applicant will be subject to child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
