As we continue to develop our British section in line with British Schools Overseas (BSO) standards, we are seeking an outstanding and committed Mathematics Teacher to join our Secondary team.
The Role
We are looking for a skilled and passionate teacher to deliver Mathematics across Key Stage 3, 4 (IGCSE) and progress into Key Stage 5 (A Level). The successful candidate will inspire a love of mathematics, develop students’ analytical thinking, and support high academic outcomes through effective, engaging teaching.
You will join a collaborative and forward-thinking department committed to high standards, strong pastoral care, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum, IGCSE and A Level specifications
Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor progress and inform teaching
Differentiate effectively to meet the needs of all learners
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning
Maintain high expectations of behaviour in line with school values
Support students’ academic and personal development within a strong pastoral framework
Engage positively with parents and the wider school community
Person Specification
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related subject
Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent)
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary setting
Proven experience teaching IGCSE and/or A Level Mathematics
Strong understanding of the UK curriculum and assessment practices
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Desirable:
Experience in an international school setting
Experience supporting EAL learners
Evidence of contribution to wider school life and extracurricular activities
