John Henry Newman Catholic College is an established Catholic School with strong leadership and is committed to the success of all students. John Henry Newman Catholic College is situated in Chelmsley Wood, Birmingham and is close to the M6 and M42 motorways links, and so is highly accessible from all areas of the West Midlands.

We are looking to recruit a qualified and talented Impact Centre Manager to take the lead in ensuring that a new Pastoral Inclusion Centre provides high quality pastoral interventions for students that are effectively implemented. Furthermore, appropriate systems will need to be used to track, monitor and evaluate student progress, especially for the vulnerable students that use this provision. The role will play a key part in enabling low suspension rates, improving classroom engagement for the schools most vulnerable and challenging students and in enabling these students to have a more positive, optimistic view of themselves and school.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in behaviour and inclusion within secondary schools, with an awareness of the range of strategies available to address the differing behaviour needs, which exist inside and outside the classroom. The successful candidate should demonstrate that this experience has been successful in the secondary schools that they have worked in. The ideal candidate will be a skilled practitioner who is dedicated to securing high levels of positive behaviour for all our students through consistent support, monitoring and interventions.

The successful applicant will be a strong team player, committed to the College’s ethos of high expectation and will seek to apply the College’s value system, known as Heart Values, into the work of the centre.
