Job overview

We are seeking to recruit an effective, forward thinking primary school leader to join our school improvement team as a primary adviser (permanent, term time only). 

Applications would be welcomed from highly qualified education professionals who are experts in the field of primary education.

You will have recent experience as a senior leader or school adviser, and a deep understanding of primary improvement strategies. In addition, you will have a broad understanding of the wider curriculum and assessment frameworks. You will have a proven track record of leading improvements within your current educational role and of supporting a number of schools. Understanding of the Education Inspection Framework is essential and experience working as an Ofsted inspector desirable.  

As an Improvement Adviser, you will be working with a team of highly motivated and professional individuals, committed to the ongoing improvement of provision in schools. A significant part of the role will be supporting schools as their named Improvement Adviser as well as school-based consultancy support both within Kent and beyond.

 

You will have the skills to design and deliver both online and face to face training and will contribute to the development of eLearning and resources in response to local and national priorities.

On occasion, you may be deployed for a period as consultant headteacher to a school in need of an interim leader.  This deployment would be within Kent.

We recognise the need for our team to be experts in their field with recent or current practitioner knowledge. This post would suit experienced education consultants, headteachers with a proven track record of effective leadership, education advisers and those with experience of executive leadership.
